Black Hat SEO is still the most favorite recipe for some marketers but little do they know that Google is watching everyone and the noose is tightening around their necks. Black Hat SEOs have invented many secret ways of encroaching upon the traffic of others but none of the ways could remain hidden for long time.

Once the pate is set, you can inject page with tens of keywords and links pointing to your website or the site you want to promote. It is illegal as the page is created without consent of the owner of the authoritative domain.

2. Google Bombing

It is a tactful way of increasing number of links and anchor texts for a page. Simply put, rank of a page is used for a specific keyword. It is called artificial linking and it is done by using the same anchor texts used for that particular page. In other words, the result is optimized with the help of artificial linking.

3. Doorway Pages or Gateway Pages

It is more technical than others. Here you use a redirect to increase your website rank in an unnatural way. The objective is to send the visitor to targeted pages that might not have any connection with the searched query. Doorway Pages are sites optimized for a specific query that isn’t related to the sites. Google released Doorway Page Penalty Algorithm in March 2015 to keep a tab over this practice.

4. Rich Snippet Markup Spam

Structuring information on your site is a great to determine how the site appears on search results. It also helps in indexing sites. But if you’re creating irrelevant snippets to achieve high rank in an illegal manner, you’re risking your page rank and online reputation. For instance, you’re creating snippets for reviews but your site doesn’t produce reviews. It is Snippet scam.

5. Automated Google Queries

You can software to send automated queries to Google to increase the number of searches for a particular keyword to rank your site high on that search query. But little do you know that Google can sense software generated automated queries and take measures to discourage you from following the process.

6. Mirror Sites

Mirror Sites are used for preventing a cyber-attack called DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service). DDoS is the answer to the unethical process of sneaking into a website’s database and accessing confidential information. DDoS involves creating sites similar to the site that needs to be protected. But SEOs use the process to take advantage of high traffic sites. They show as if they’re protecting the genuine site with their copied sites.

7. Private Blog Networks

It is a creative way to generate backlinks as it looks ethical and legal. You create a PBN of blogs under different domain names and create links for your site. Since you’re owner of the blogs, you’ve the power to change the content according to needs. And also you can generate as many backlinks to your site as needed. Domains used for PBN are expired domain with high amount of link juice. The links can be used to boost search ranking of other sites.

8. Typosquatting or URL Hijacking

It is similar to manufacturing duplicate products. Here you create a copy of branded domains using errors like a common misspelling. The objective is to take advantage of the high rank and traffic of popular and high ranking sites.

9. Toxic Sites

These are sites created with the sole objective of creating links. At first sight, it looks natural but it has issues like “Low Authority Link”, “Thin Content”, “Footer Link”, “Extreme Link Velocity” and “High Number of Outbound Links”. These sites can be tacked using Unnatural Links Navigator.

Fraudsters are everywhere and the online world is no exception to this rule. Black Hat SEOs are always looking for loopholes in the White Hat SEO methods to take advantage of the ethical ways. But Search engines are there to keep a tab over such practices.

Conclusion

Black Hat SEOs teach many things. They show how they can take advantage of high ranking sites and flourish on the fruits and labors of others. Here serious web masters need to be careful with the fraudulent ways others can employ to take advantage of their high ranking sites.
