Google Adds More Colors To Organic Search Results

News about Google testing new design for both paid and organic search results is true. Google watchers have spotted the new design and confirmed that the largest search engine is working on a new design for Google Search.

Features of new design

  • URL is put on the top of results
  • Fewer ads are spotted
  • Organic search results made more colorful

Some websites have the screenshot of the new design and the screenshot confirms the above mentioned features. In the screenshot, the organic search results are seen with more colors, while the titles and URLs of both the results are rearranged.

Why organic search results have colored dots?

What purpose does the colored dots serve isn’t clear but they look like mere aesthetic changes instead of any design or development change – clicking on the dots yield no results. And neither do the dots show search engine rank of the websites.

More changes to the design

There is only one advertisement at the bottom of the page but earlier there used to be three ads. If you study the complete screenshot, you will be able to see and understand the changes. But Google has left the Related Searches untouched. Whether this design is final isn’t clear as Google didn’t provide any official information regarding the new design.

Conclusion

Google keeps tweaking its algorithm but it doesn’t touch its design and other crucial elements. This time, it is changing the design for both paid and organic searches. The new design isn’t available as it is being tested but some people have uploaded screenshots of the new design elements. The objective of the design changes isn’t clear but it is clear that the new design will have far-reaching effects in digital marketing. When implemented, the changes will remove the clutter and help improve the search results.
