Soon you will be able to see waiting time of restaurants in addition to their location on Google. Don’t get surprised on seeing waiting time with location details of restaurants as it is new feature of Google Search and Maps. Google is planning to provide real-time details of millions of sit-down restaurants around the world.

The waiting time details will be displayed with Popular Times of restaurants. But the data will be estimated on anonymized historical data. Google doesn’t claim 100% accuracy of the details but it is expected that the details provided will be near accurate. There won’t be much difference in displayed and real waiting time.

Popular restaurants draw huge crowds and also they take advance booking but most visitors are surprise guests. They search restaurants on Google and choose the nearest sit-in eating place for quick dining. They visit restaurants for quick dining but are surprised to see huge crowd waiting at the hotels.

New Google Search feature will show present waiting time and also it will provide estimated waiting period of a certain time like 8 PM and 10 PM. The feature will even show waiting time for a certain day of week like Saturday and Sunday. If you are planning to visit a restaurant in a few days, you can check its waiting time for that day so that you can prepare your visit according to the waiting period of the restaurant.
